New Practitioners

The 2007 IODA Conference is committed to nurturing the development of New Practitioners in the field.

THE IODA MENTORING PROGRAM:

Through your conference registration you are invited to participate in the IODA Mentoring Program. This is a wonderful opportunity for new and experienced practitioners to connect, learn and enhance their conference experience.

It is IODA’s intention to support the development of people in their OD practice, no matter where they are – a new practitioner or an experienced consultant. The conference offers an ideal opportunity for practitioners to explore their questions, share their ideas, and work through their dilemmas in partnership with others.

Mentor — someone who desires to work in partnership with a person who wishes to explore a question or idea with someone else.

Mentee — someone who has a desire to explore a question with an experienced practitioner.

We will convene a mentoring session during lunch on August 22nd. The session will detail the program logistics and facilitate the introductions.

Benefits to the Mentee include:

  • Jump start your learning at the conference
  • Get plugged into the OD practitioner network
  • Receive support during and after the conference
  • Ask those basic or hard to discuss questions
  • Direct the mentoring experience to best serve you

Benefits to the Mentor include:

  • Opportunity to give back to the field
  • Develop your coaching experience
  • Test out new ideas on with others
  • Meet the up and coming talent in the field
